Terry Jaszkowski, the major shareholder of Pro Moves, was born and raised in Hamilton Ontario. Terry attended Mohawk College in Hamilton for two years, then transferred to Concordia University in Montreal Quebec, in 1981. Summer employment with the van lines, performing residential and commercial moving jobs, paid for Terry’s tuition, which resulted in a B.A. in Economics.

After graduating, Terry worked for a couple of small Hamilton movers; one moving company specialized in office moving and the other in home moving. It was obvious that the national van lines offered superior commercial and residential moving services, when compared to the small local mover, but at much higher rates; the small local movers from Hamilton, Burlington, and Ancaster offered lower rates with usually inferior levels of service on home and office moves.

With experience in both home and office moving for the large nationals, as well as the small regional movers, Terry found his niche; “Better service. Lower rates.” in commercial and residential moving could be achieved by combining, superior, personalized, professional moving services, with a lean business model that was free of royalty payments, franchise fees, and other non-essential overhead costs.

Today, we offer a variety of additional services including; office furniture sales and installations; moving bin rentals; sales of packing supplies; piano and pool table moving; and a socially responsible waste removal service. Above all, Pro Moves provides the most professional moving services in Southern Ontario.

Pro Moves has been eco-friendly for over 24 years. Always conscientious and respectful of our environment, we provide customers with the option to rent our environmentally friendly plastic moving bins, instead of buying brand new corrugated boxes, which are often discarded after only one use. Even if customers choose to buy our corrugated boxes, we can buy them back, so that someone else can use them before they end up at a recycling facility.
